Update: We have booked the location! We will be staying at Espadilla Ocean Club! We have the entire placed booked just for us, element-themed villas, private pools, and the ability to walk right out onto Manual Antonio beach! Space is limited, to register now.
A question for you practitioners: how do you take care of yourself? One of the biggest complaints I hear from my peers is that we don’t often get worked on ourselves.
In 2020 we held the first Practitioners’ Retreat here in Costa Rica. We did it again in 2024 and it was amazing to feel the camaraderie as practitioners came together in this unique way.
Can you imagine: every day begins with yoga by the ocean or maybe with a swim in the pool?
Then someone serves you a beautiful breakfast full of fresh tropical fruit you can enjoy with your friends. The next 3-4 hours are dedicated to exchanging deep meaningful balances with each other. Repeating this over a few days means that you have the space to make real changes in your body. Everyday after lunch, we all go on an adventure of some sort. Ziplines? Dolphin watching? Waterfall hike? Enjoying the natural lushness of southern CR. Complete schedule will be available 2 weeks before the retreat.
We return to the villa for dinner and finish the evening with music, games, conversation, and rest.
Can you feel it?
Start the year off right and join us! January 28-February 3.
Pura vida!
7 days/6 nights in Costa Rica with the express purpose of creating and deepening meaningful relationships and improving our own health. Open to all modalities so that we can explore and experience balances outside of our usual routine. The Retreat is limited to a maximum of 12 participants as the point is to keep the group intimate.
The agenda:
January 25-31, 2026
Day One: arrive in the afternoon and get oriented. As people will arrive at different times, we are leaving the afternoon open and casual to explore the space. Dinner, bonfire and welcome ceremony starting at 5:00.
Days Two-Six: Every day begins with breakfast: eggs, fresh fruit, gallo pinto, etc. Then one of the participants will lead the group in a warm-up (switch-ons, meridian dance, muscle dance, cross crawls, etc). Then we will have ‘show and tell’ – sharing a quick techniques or idea that may be of interest to the group. The rest of the morning is dedicated to balance exchanges. Every participant agrees to give and receive at least five sessions over the course of the retreat. After lunch we will go on adventures as a group. These may include: visiting the beach and swimming in the ocean, hiking to beautiful waterfalls, kayaking in the mangroves, visiting the local market, ziplines, etc. Evenings might include a guest invited to share something with the group that is not kinesiology-related but holistic and fun. Some ideas: salsa dancing, musical performance, local herbology, sound healing, etc. Or perhaps a spa night, or just time at the pool.
One day in the middle will be completely free so that people can create their own adventure or rest and disconnect completely as many of us might need some alone/quiet time by then! Meals will still be provided for those that wish.
Day Seven: The morning begins the same way, but after lunch we will have a closing ceremony as people begin to make their way home.
The investment:
$1400USD all inclusive. This includes pick up at the Quepos airport (or local bus/shuttle terminals), accommodations, delicious local food, adventures and lessons with locals. Please contact for special family rates. I will create certificates of attendance with hours that you can attempt to present for CECs (no promises that will work!).
We are limited to 12 participants, so please get in touch soon! $100 deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your place.
